Carpet Shooting or Tufting Masterclass

Carpet Shooting or Tufting Masterclass is a unique and practical experience designed for individuals passionate about craftsmanship, interior design, or handicrafts. In this masterclass, participants are introduced to the art of tufting – a textile technique used to create soft and patterned surfaces for carpets, cushions, and other types of soft furnishings.

The session begins with the selection of a carpet sketch and an introduction to the tufting technique, followed by a detailed explanation of the necessary tools and materials.
Under the guidance of an experienced master, participants learn to maneuver the tufting gun, skillfully crafting their designs on a previously stretched canvas. The masterclass emphasizes creativity and personal expression, allowing participants to explore new techniques, colors, and textures. Safety instructions are an essential part of the initial briefing, ensuring a safe environment for all involved.

Throughout the masterclass, participants “shoot” the carpet and level the top surface, transforming the yarn-created painting into a finished carpet. The session concludes with instructions on carpet care and use, ensuring the longevity of the crafted product. The created carpet remains in the studio for a few days, allowing the master to fix it with special glue, create a backing, and level the carpet edges. The finished product can be collected from the studio after 5-7 days, or, by prior arrangement, the finished carpet will be sent to the participant.

The masterclass is ideally suited for both beginners and those with some experience in textile arts. The tufting workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn new skills, develop creativity, and meet other creatively minded people in an inspiring environment.
